to Home
Madison,
AL Triana Industries Incorporated (TII) was
recently awarded business from North American Bus
Industries, Inc. (NABI, Inc.), a bus manufacturing
corporation with a final assembly plant headquartered
in Anniston, Alabama. According to TIIs Chief
Operating Officer, Leroy Cole, TII will produce cable
assemblies used in the bus electrical distribution
system. TII will manufacturer and deliver approximately
thirty-three different cables for each bus unit assembled
in the north Alabama plant. The account valued at
approximately four hundred thousand dollars annually
will help further diversify TIIs core business
which is mainly wiring harness assemblies and electromechanical
components used in the manufacturing and assembly
of four-wheel, passenger vehicles. TII began producing
the cable assemblies for NABI in August of 2001. TII
President & CEO Ralph Malone welcomes the new
business and seeks to further develop the relationship
between the two Alabama companies with hopes to grow
the account by meeting and exceeding NABI requirements
in all areas including quality, cost, delivery and
service.
A recent facility expansion
has allowed TII to designate a generous portion of
their 80K square feet of manufacturing space to NABI
production without effecting existing customer requirements.
As a QS-9000/ISO 9002 certified minority supplier,
founded in 1972, TII is well on their way to becoming
a leader in the manufacturing of wire harnesses, cable
and lead assemblies and other electromechanical components.
Some of TII's major customers include Daimler-Chrysler,
Yazaki, Lear, and Carrier.
